Joel L. Frank – the Chairman and Managing Partner of Lamb McErlane, a full-service regional law firm based in West Chester – has been reappointed Commissioner of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission.

After being nominated by Gov. Tom Corbett and completing his initial four-year term, Frank was recently nominated by Gov. Tom Wolf for his second term and was unanimously confirmed by the Pennsylvania Senate.

The three members of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission are appointed by the Governor for four-year terms. Nominees require confirmation by the Pennsylvania Senate.

The Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission was established by the General Assembly to regulate professional boxing, kickboxing, professional wrestling, and mixed martial arts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania continues to be one of the most active states for professional boxing and mixed martial arts.

He’s also General Counsel for the Republican Party of Pennsylvania, a Board Director of First Priority Bank, and its parent company First Priority Financial Corp., and the solicitor for the Chester County Police Chiefs Association.

At Lamb McErlane, Frank concentrates his practice in commercial and civil litigation in state and federal courts, election law, and attorney discipline, judicial discipline, and ethical matters.
