Chester County Home to Three of State’s Top 25 Private High Schools

Chester County is home to three of the Top 25 private high schools in Pennsylvania, according to the latest rankings published by Niche.com, writes Teresa Bonner for the Harrisburg Patriot-News.

Niche.com bases its rankings on a rigorous analysis of U.S. Department of Education data, test scores, and college data. It also uses ratings from millions of the site’s users, as well as data directly from schools.

The Westtown School checked in at No. 12. The elite boarding school has 641 students and a student/teacher ratio of 8 to 1. All of its students go on to four-year colleges after graduation.

Church Farm School was 21st. The all-boys boarding school in Exton has 185 students from a variety of different backgrounds and a student/teacher ratio of 5 to 1.

Devon Prep rounded off the list at No. 25. The all-boys Catholic school has 280 students and a student/teacher ratio of 9 to 1.
