Friends Todd Cericola, Mike Benson, and Raymond Hoffman turned their joint hobby into a business six months ago by opening the Elite Escape Room in Eagleview, writes Donna Rovins for the Daily Local News.

The attraction features three escape rooms: Escape from Oz, Andy’s Room, and Escape Your Fears. Each is for groups of eight to ten people. A fourth room is also in the works and will open in May.

“It will have no clues and no hints,” said Cericola. “We wanted to do something in a tight, claustrophobic area.”

The goal for the business at 264 Eagleview Boulevard is to create a different experience from other escape room attractions.

“The biggest difference is, it’s an experience from the time you walk in,” said Cericola. “Our puzzles and clues don’t follow a linear path, there is more than one way to move forward.”

They also wanted to make sure their business is family friendly by providing a place to relax both before and after the experience.

“When they finish the room, we don’t want them to feel like they have to leave right away,” said Cericola.
