Liberty Interactive, a media conglomerate that includes QVC and Zulily, is changing its name to Qurate Retail Group and moving its leadership base to West Chester, writes Joseph DiStefano for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Qurate, which has been created by media investor John Malone, has around $14 billion a year in sales. Mike George, QVC’s CEO, will lead the group as President and Chief Executive Officer from QVC’s Studio Park.

QVC is one of the largest private employers in the area, with more than 3,000 employees based in West Chester.

The reorganization into Qurate creates one stock from a group of retail assets, making it possible to be part of popular stock market indices. George is now hoping that Qurate will be included in the index funds managed by Vanguard and other big money managers.
