CRN, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Kennett Square-based Pegasus Technologies to its 2018 Tech Elite 250 list.

This annual list honors an exclusive group of North American IT solution providers that have earned the highest number of advanced technical certifications from leading technology suppliers, scaled to their company size.

To compile the annual list, The Channel Company’s research group and CRN editors work together to identify the most customer-beneficial technical certifications in the North American IT channel. Companies that have obtained these elite designations – which enable solution providers to deliver premium products, services, and customer support – are then selected from a pool of online applicants.

Using its cybersecurity and two-factor authentication roots, Pegasus established itself as an expert MSP that provides solutions with security incorporated into the design. Pegasus believes security cannot be an overly simplified, bolt-on afterthought, nor can it be a cumbersome, intrusive bottleneck for employees, because those types of solutions no longer work in today’s threat landscape.

Pegasus began offering a formal MSSP program to its own clients, as well as clients of other MSPs, before the public began clamoring for security solutions. The Pegasus MSSP solution includes user education and assessment, as well as technologies designed to monitor patterns for unusual behavior. The security landscape is forecasted to grow more perilous, and Pegasus is positioning its clients to be ready to weather the coming storm.
