Learning Express Toys is going back to where it all started by relocating from Exton Mall to its original location in Uwchlan, writes Donna Rovins for the Daily Local News.

The store, owned by Rich and Fran Gordon, has been at its current space for the past six years. It will close its doors in Exton on March 31 to reopen on April 6 at the Lionville Shopping Center in Uwchlan.

“We want to get back to being a neighborhood store and having fun in the business,” said Rich.

He said that they are looking forward to providing the Learning Express service their customers are familiar with.

“After being locally owned and operated for 20-plus years, we’re ready to help a whole new generation of families,” he said.

One of the reasons for the move is the shift in the way people shop, moving toward open shopping areas and away from enclosed malls. The shop will soon occupy the exact same space it did when it opened more than two decades ago.

“We’re going home,” said Fran. “We’re hoping to recapture some of what we lost when we went into the mall.”
