Malvern’s Liberty Property Trust to Move to Redeveloped Headquarters in Wayne

By

Liberty Property Trust is preparing to relocate its headquarters from Malvern to newly remodeled offices in Wayne, writes Natalie Kostelni for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The planned move to 650 East Swedesford Road comes as Liberty aims to sell its remaining office properties in the Great Valley Corporate Center. This will mark the completion of the company’s transformation into an industrial real estate investment trust with just a few urban holdings.

“The company has pretty significantly changed over the years,” said Bill Hankowsky, Liberty’s CEO.

The new office is in a four-story building covering more than 100,000 square feet. It’s owned by Liberty and has significant space available after a recent departure.

Liberty will house its operations on the building’s 25,000-square-foot top floor. Two other floors are currently occupied by tenants, while one level is vacant.

“The location has that Wayne-King of Prussia, live-work-play characteristic that is analogous to what we have done at the Navy Yard, and we decided to take that skill set and apply that to a building we own,” said Hankowsky.
