Employees at the Malvern-based investment management giant – affectionately known as the crew – are making the holidays happy for more than 1,800 local children.
On Thursday morning, hundreds of bikes and thousands of toys, clothing, and electronics were loaded onto trucks at Vanguard’s warehouse, and delivered to families in need.

The Delaware Valley Children’s Charities, Toys 4 Tots, Cradles for Crayons, CHOP, and the Salvation Army are among the beneficiaries of Vanguard’s largesse.
The holiday effort is part of Vanguard’s annual giving season, which complements the company’s signature community stewardship program, entitled the Vanguard Strong Start for Kids Program. A new aspect of the giving season this year was electronic giving via credit card, which drove in more than $17,000 in additional donations.
Vanguard’s Strong Start For Kids Program provides funding and support toward initiatives and nonprofits that allow young children the opportunity to thrive in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Arizona.
