Risk Manager

The Risk Manager is responsible for the facility’s risk management activities which include assisting with the management of general and professional liability claims against the facility, interfacing with defense legal counsel, interfacing with CHS Risk Management, Quality & Resource Management and Legal Departments, and administering the hospital’s risk management program on a day-to-day basis.

The ideal candidate will have an RN degree and a minimum of 3 years of risk management experience in an acute care facility with demonstrated knowledge of JCAHO, State Licensure, and CMS regulations, as well as the malpractice and claims prevention/management processes.

Unit Secretary – PCU

The Unit Secretary is responsible for providing secretarial support for all employees within an assigned nursing unit and maintaining patients’ records for a given unit.

Candidates for the Unit Secretary must have a high school diploma, 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area and have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures.

Medication History Technician

The Medication History Technician at Brandywine Hospital completes medication histories for patients in the emergency department and medical floors, enters medication histories into eMAR systems correctly, and consults with covering pharmacist as needed, and performs clerical tasks, clinical tasks, and other duties as assigned in conjunction with pharmacists driven activities.

Candidates must have a high school diploma and Pharmacy Technician Certification (may be obtained within 3 months of filling position), some college level course work is preferred but not required and 3 years of hospital or pharmacy experience.
