The second-best place to retire in all of America is right next door to Chester County, writes Jeff Jeffrey for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Lancaster is second on the U.S. News & World Report’s 2017-18 Best Places to Retire list. It earned its high marks thanks to its low retiree taxes and excellent healthcare services.

Pittsburgh, which placed eighth, is another Pennsylvania city in the Top 10. Philadelphia also made the list at No. 19 courtesy of affordable housing and distinct culture.

The report was based on a number of different qualitative measurements, including housing costs, desirability, retiree taxes, job market, and overall healthcare quality.

The data used to compile the ranking was drawn from the U.S. Census Bureau, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and U.S. News & World Report’s ranking of best hospitals.

According to the list, the best place in the nation to retire is Sarasota, Fla.
