Kennett High School graduate Brannen Basham and his wife Jill Jacobs have opened Spriggly’s Beescaping, a business dedicated to saving bees.

Kennett High School graduate Brannen Basham and his wife Jill Jacobs have started a small business in North Carolina that offers workshops, products, and services to help create the right environment for bees, according to a report in The Waynesville (N.C.) Mountaineer.

The couple started Spriggly’s Beescaping in June 2016 after moving south from the Philadelphia area. The company mainly focuses on supporting the 4,000 species of native bees that can be found in North America.

To do this, it offers affordable and low-maintenance solutions that can be implemented by any gardener to help bees thrive and improve production on a farm or in a garden.

Spriggly’s also provides a series of educational aids to individuals, community groups, and educational institutions. These include on-site workshops, installations, lectures, and more. Among its array of services, Spriggly’s offers Native Bee Cabins and education kits that can be shipped anywhere in the country.
