Kennett Township Manager Lisa Moore has been recognized by township supervisors for her two successful decades managing the municipality, writes Matt Freeman for the Daily Local News.

Municipal managers are in charge of overseeing the everyday operations of townships and boroughs. They ensure that everything runs smoothly, from the streets getting plowed to the garbage being hauled away.

Kennett Township supervisors paused their recent meeting to recognize Moore’s 20th anniversary of working for the township.

“Without you, it wouldn’t happen,” said Supervisors’ Chairman Scudder Stevens.

Township Solicitor David Sander joined the praise, saying that Moore was the best manager he knew.

In turn, Moore praised her “amazing team” of colleagues and employees, saying that everybody working there, herself included, is very fortunate.

“It’s been an amazing job. You always learn new things,” said Moore. “We all just enjoy helping people.”
