The Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania took the opportunity during its centennial celebration to honor several remarkable women role models, including Malvern’s Carol Aichele, writes Joan Bang for Main Line Suburban Life.

The organization was not only enjoying its 100-year milestone, but also celebrating the first time the famous Girl Scout cookies were created.

The iconic cookies, which started selling in this area in the early 1930s, have been used as a tool to teach girl scouts how to increase their confidence.
