West Swedesford Road in Tredyffrin is catching up with East Swedesford Road with an influx of developers ready to invest in a diverse group of proposed projects, writes Natalie Kostelni for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Some of the projects are already set to get started, while others are in the planning stages, and they could help reshape that part of the township.

The first of these projects to break ground will be Gulph Creek Development’s Fairfield Inn by Marriott next month. The 124-room hotel will cover 61,000 square feet and should be completed within a year.

“We think it’s a great project because of its location near Chesterbrook where there is 5.5 million square feet of office space, and it is also part of the greater King of Prussia office market,” said Clarke Blynn of Gulph Creek Development.

In addition to the incoming hotel, several proposals have been presented to the township to construct a total of 37 houses at 1057 and 951 Howellville Road. Other projects include a residential care facility by Nolen Development Group at 950 Cassatt Road and a building by Echo Realty at Swedesford Plaza.
