That’s how Sweet Charity guests will welcome the spring season on March 20, as this much-anticipated event marks its 13th year as the Chester County Community Foundation’s signature “must attend” fundraiser.

Sweet Charity is a tasty night out, but also a serious dessert competition. The finest local dessert chefs gather with their most crowd-pleasing creations to compete for three prizes: Most Popular Dessert, Best Presentation, and Professional Judge’s Choice.

Guests vote on the Most Popular choice, while judges deliberate on other winners.

“The desserts are inventive, creative, and out-of-this-world delicious,” said Karen Simmons, President and CEO of the Chester County Community Foundation. “The descriptions alone will make your mouth water!”

Dessert entries range from classics to cutting-edge foodie trends. Last year’s Most Popular winner was John Serock Catering’s Sweet Grilled Cheese with Strawberry Bisque. Past entries have included Maple Bacon Bread Pudding and Bacon Brownies, Lemon-Blueberry Coconut Tiny Pies, and gluten-free Lava Cake.

Sweet Charity is a gathering place for those who care about the important work that local charities do, and it’s an evening when good things happen. Grants are even given in honor of the winning chefs, based on their nonprofit of choice.

Sweet Charity benefits the Chester County Community Foundation, which grows legacy philanthropy throughout the region. The Community Foundation helps families and businesses become involved in charitable giving for the long run, by encouraging legacy gifts and increasing awareness of the needs and issues facing Chester County.

All are invited to attend. Tickets begin at $125. For more information, call 610-696-8211 or visit http://www.chescocf.org/.
