By Ken Knickerbocker
When VISTA Today launched in November 2014, Lance Knickerbocker was the man behind the curtain posting stories and making sure the picture at the top of the post matched each story’s content.
Matching content with the appropriate image sound easy; its not! It was especially hard given Lance had only lived in Chester County for 2 months and our library of images measured in the hundreds of pictures, not the thousands of images in our library three years in.
Lance launched our first morning and afternoon emails, established VISTA Today’s presences on social media and initiated links with community civic, cultural and business leaders, links that gave us credibility and fueled our growth.
Without hyperbole, I can state without Lance, or someone like him, VISTA Today would not have gotten off the ground.
So it is with regret that we bid Lance goodbye. While he will continue to be a presence in all things Chester County, even writing the occasional piece for these pages, Lance will no longer have a day-to-day role at VISTA Today.
I thank Lance for his hard work, persistence, good nature and passion for VISTA Today’s vision and potential. While he is, by birth, my nephew; he will, by choice, always be my friend.
Good luck Lance! Whatever you do, please don’t be a stranger!
