New Distillery Joins Startup Craft Brewery in Malvern

By

Back-to-back startups are cracking open Malvern’s beer and spirits scene along Three Tun Road.

Chasing an earlier announcement that upstart Locust Lane Craft Brewery is preparing for a January opening of its 5,200-square-foot facility, startup distillery Pennsylvania Distilling Co. is coming in by early summer 2017, according to a Philadelphia Business Journal report by Kenneth Hilario.

Pennsylvania Distilling Co. will lease 5,700 square feet, including 1,200 for a tasting room.

“The company vision is one that resonates well today with small businesses and with our target market,” Co-Founder Richard Buoni said. “We want to be a true craft distiller.”

Launching Pennsylvania Distilling Co.’s “grain-to-glass, handmade, small-batch distillery” alongside Buoni, a chemical engineer, are sales pro Joseph Amoroso and aerospace veteran Kevin Donaghy.

RedGo Development is also talking with beverage processors potentially interested in the budding development.
