Main Line Health LogoThe Main Line Health Hospitals – which include Lankenau Medical Center, Bryn Mawr Hospital, Paoli Hospital, Riddle Hospital, and Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital – have all received NICHE designation.

The NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders) designation indicates an organization’s commitment to elder care excellence by stimulating senior-focused transformation in the culture of healthcare facilities and achieving patient-centered care for older adults.

“Receiving NICHE designation across Main Line Health is truly an honor,” said Barbara Wadsworth, Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer. “It validates our efforts to offer a superior experience, focusing on the individual needs of our senior patients.”

Through participation in the NICHE program, MLH is able to offer evidence-based, interdisciplinary approaches that promote better outcomes, positive experiences, and improved care for older adults. This leads to greater satisfaction rates for patients, their families, and staff.

“Main Line Health shows a tremendous commitment to meet the most critical challenge of our times – quality care of older adults,” said Mattia J. Gilmartin, Acting Executive Director of NICHE. “The organization’s dedication to drive continuous improvement processes and enhance care marks them as leaders in the field.”
