Phillips Mushrooms Expands Product Range with Frozen Fire Roasted Sautéed Mushrooms

Kennett Square’s Phillips Mushrooms is keeping pace with the ever growing popularity of mushrooms with its latest offering, Frozen Fire Roasted Sautéed Mushrooms, writes Christina DiMartino for The Produce News.

The popular product is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to keep up with demand. To do this Phillips has also just completed the third expansion of its facility in Warwick, MD.

This has increased its production capacity to around a million pounds of mushrooms a week. The company is also seeing a similar surge in demand for its organic mushrooms.

“Despite the increased production space, mushroom demand continues to grow, and it was strong throughout the summer, which is typically not a mushroom season,” said Kevin Donovan, Phillips National Sales Manager. “Supplies are tight and we anticipate it will stay this way going forward.”

The already popular Frozen Fire Roasted Sautéed Mushrooms are available in bulk packs for restaurants and other food service operators. They are also on offer in standup bags at local retail stores.
