The company unveiled its fresh new look on Tuesday with the cutting-edge sustainable design which will be produced at its West Chester factory.
“Our single most important sustainability priority over the next five years is solving the waste challenge for workplaces around the world that choose Mars Drinks,” said Mars Drinks global president, Xavier Unkovic.

“Our new packaging represents meaningful progress toward our goal of becoming the most sustainable workplace drinks solution by 2020.”
The 31 percent carbon footprint reduction for the packaging is based on data compiled by an independent “Life Cycle Assessment.” This analyzed the environmental impact of the packaging across all stages of production, from raw material extraction to distribution.
Mars Drinks commissioned WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, which is one of the leading engineering firms in the world, to conduct the assessment according to international standards.
“Increasingly, people at work want to know they have chosen a sustainable workplace drinks solution,” commented Samantha Veide, global director of corporate sustainable solutions at Mars Drinks.
She added that the company has been told numerous times by customers that their number one sustainability issue related to workplace drinks solutions is resolving the packaging challenge.
“That’s why we placed such a priority on rethinking our Freshpack design,” she concluded.
