Come Saturday, the kids will lead the way to downtown West Chester for a day of family fun. A back-to-back-to-back lineup of action starts at 3 p.m. with the free Kids Zone in the Wells Fargo Bank parking lot on East Gay Street, which lasts until 7 p.m. Simultaneously joining the fun at 4 p.m. are the Benchmark Community Festival and the Market Street Block Party.
The free community festival on High Street will showcase event sponsors, health and fitness offerings, home improvement vendors and service providers, tantalizing foods and treats, nonprofit agencies, faith-based organizations and more while the block party brings face painting, food, sidewalk chalk, live music and more to Market Street.
Meanwhile, the competitive spirit of the Iron Hill Twilight revs up at 3:30 p.m. with the West Chester Dental Arts Kids Race, followed by the Tolsdorf Twilight Trike Challenge at 4:30 p.m. for adults who are still kids at heart.
The Rothman Institute Amateur Men’s Criterium breaks in the race course at 5:45 p.m. and preludes the Brumbaugh Wealth Management Pro Women’s Criterium at 6:45 p.m. and then the Iron Hill Twilight Criterium for the men at 8 p.m.
