Construction Inspectors/Managers

Experienced transportation construction inspectors for projects in various PennDOT districts within the Commonwealth. The preferred candidate will have PennDOT experience, NICET, ACI/PennDOT Concrete Field Testing Technician, and/or NECEPT Bituminus Field Testing Technician certifications. Responsibilities of the Construction Inspector’s position include inspection of roadway and bridge projects; testing of soils, concrete, and bituminous paving, calculation of quantities for estimate payments and review of construction schedules, following PennDOT documentation procedures.

Qualifications for this position at TP&D include a high school diploma and a minimum of 2 years of PennDOT (PADOT) transportation construction inspection experience. Candidates must be certified in at least one of the following: NICET, NECEPT Bituminous, ACI/PennDOT Concrete Technician, and/or CDS/NextGen (field office).

Highway Design Project Engineer

TPD is seeking an experienced Highway Design Project Engineer. The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of experience in Highway Design, a strong work ethic, the willingness to work cohesively within a team, and the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects. The ideal candidate for the highway design project engineer will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, hold a current E.I.T. or Pennsylvania P.E. license, have experience with project delivery for PennDOT and PA Turnpike Commission projects and be familiar with clearance processes (e.g. Environmental, Utility, Right-of-Way), environmental permitting requirements and procedures and traffic engineering aspects such as traffic studies, crash studies, traffic signal plans, signing and pavement marking plans, and traffic control plans.
