The heartbreaking news of protests and provocations against police around the country has prompted Chester County residents to fight back with heartwarming acts of kindness.
Bouquets of flowers, boxes of pizza, cookies, coffee, doughnuts and notes of gratitude have all showed up at police stations near and far in the wake of recent tragedies.

“The West Chester Police Dept thanks our citizens for their outpouring of support. And our citizens thank the WCPD!!” Mayor Carolyn Comitta was quoted as posting on Twitter by a Daily Local News staff report.
A similar scene unfolded at police department facilities in North Coventry Township and Radnor Township, the article stated.
“It was important to me to say, here we have two young black children that are trying to do the right thing because friends of ours have had a death in the family,” Abigail Bullard said of delivering cookies and soft pretzels with her sons to officers in Radnor. “… Not all young black men are bad, and not all police officers are bad.”
