Boasting shelves stocked with well-curated brews and beer wisdom flowing from knowledgeable staff, downtown Downingtown’s new Bottle Room has been thoroughly christened with suds over the few weeks since it opened right next to and in collaboration with the Station Taproom.

“We’re casual, non-pretentious and non-intimidating,” General Manager Kerry Watson said in a generous serving of coverage from The Town Dish by Ed Williams. “We want the guest to come in and not be overwhelmed (or underwhelmed) — let them call the shots. We see ourselves standing out from other bottle rooms in that we offer a well-rounded, ‘curated selection’ of close to 400 cans and bottles that are cellarable.”

Aesthetically, “the pub is a state-of-the-art spot that feels like it’s been here forever,” the article explained, with an interior that’s “truly a work of solid design, craftsmanship, art and love” and a locally-sourced menu that’s “short, sweet and rotates along with the beers.”

Bottle Room is the creative outpouring of Station Taproom Owner Sean McGettigan and craft beer guru Watson.

“We’re both astute as to what’s new, who’s bottling what and keeping room open for seasonals as well,” Watson noted in the article.
