Accountant

The Department of Children, Youth, and Families is seeking an accountant to perform basic-level accounting functions to ensure complete financial accountability for services, supplies, and capital-related operations. This includes recording, tracking, and reporting departmental revenues and expenditures.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance with 15 accounting credits. Skills testing will be required prior to the interview. Child Abuse, State Police, and FBI clearances are required.

Director of Transportation Services

This management-level position will be responsible for the administration and management of the Transportation Services Division. Essential duties include managing the transportation program, including highway, mass transit, and trail planning, as well as division staff supervision.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s Degree in Planning or a related field, and have 10 years of progressive, job-related transportation and management experience. The position requires a complete understanding of federal and state funding programs and the TIP process. He/she must have excellent organization, written and verbal communication skills, as well as program and project administration, budget management, and intermediate computer skills.

Public Health Emergency Preparedness Planner

his position will develop, maintain, review, and update public health emergency response plans and procedures. He/she will create and sustain community resiliency planning and outreach programs, and ensure that the direction and activities of the program are aligned with local, state, and federal response guidance, rules, and regulations. The person will assume a key role in compiling, evaluating, and presenting documentation in support of program initiatives, including NACCHO’s Project Public Health Ready and the CDC’s Operational Readiness Review.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in public health, emergency management, or a related field. The position requires the ability to interpret, extrapolate, and apply complex information to different planning scenarios. He/she must be able to devise effective response strategies based on planning objectives and resources.
