The position will assist in the daily operations of the branch with a sales focus on deposit growth in local territory. He/she will develop and help manage an account portfolio while delivering excellent customer service. Candidates must possess at least an Associate’s Degree or the equivalent work experience (a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred), and have previous sales and customer service experience in a retail banking environment. Mortgage Loan Officer – Wilmington

The position originates residential mortgage loans according to established policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance while meeting sales goals. He/she must maintain an active registration status with the NMLS, and interview customers applying for residential mortgage loans. The person will also analyze and screen preliminary loan requests on varied types of mortgage loans. Other responsibilities include ordering appraisals, credit reports, and reference checks.

The candidate will possess a high school diploma, have at least one year of residential mortgage-lending experience. He/she must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures is required.
