United Way of Chester County and the Chester County Food Bank held their second annual Community ‘PB&J for United Way’ Drive last month.  The Matt Gorham Group of Keller Williams reigned again this year as the PB&J King. Their drive singlehandedly brought in an astounding 2,093 pounds of PB&J—just about tripling their donation over last year.

That’s a huge win for Chester County food cupboards and the food insecure families who can’t depend on subsidized school lunches over the summer.

The friendly competition between local service organizations and businesses produced dozens of independent drives, cumulatively collecting over 9,000 pounds of peanut butter and jelly products for the cause.

The drive began as a call to action to help local food pantries keep their shelves stocked over the summer months when food bank donations are at their lowest.
