The din of good old times in Phoenixville’s Bull Tavern is about to rise again — but not from those who once frequented the Route 23 establishment. The clamor of paws and pet food dishes will fill the historic tavern halls once the operator of Valley Veterinary Hospital converts it into a pet hospital.

The tavern, accompanying spaces within the building’s 15,760 square feet and 2.8 acres under and around were just purchased for $780,000, according to a Philly.com report by Jacob Adelman.

The new space for Valley Vet’s operator will provide room for pet hospital facilities as well as pet boarding, grooming services and more. The current Valley Vet operation in Phoenixville is dedicated “to practice the highest-quality medicine and surgery with compassion and an emphasis on client education.” It offers care for emergencies, wellness, kittens and puppies, exotic pets, diagnostics, therapeutics, surgeries, anesthesia, radiology, electrocardiology, dentistry, laboratory work, permanent identification and vaccination.
