In an effort to improve its sour customer service reputation, Comcast opened its first interactive Xfinity store in Chester County, writes Brian McCullough for Daily Local News.

The store, located at Main Street in the Exton Shopping Center, is only the sixth opened in the state by the Philadelphia cable giant.

“You can come in and you can try out, learn about and interact with all of our products and services, including the X1 Platform for television, Xfinity For Home, our line of free Infinity apps,” said Jennifer Bilotta, Director of Public Relations for Comcast.

In addition, Bilotta explained that the new store’s customer service can answer billing questions, help upgrade or change existing services and customer’s can bring in and swap their equipment.

Instead of waiting in line for service, customers sign in and can even test Comcast’s various products as they wait. Of course, the site also features two express bill payment machines.

Comcast has also said it will close its old customer center in East Caln near Downingtown.

“We’re responding to customer feedback, we’re just trying to improve the experience from end to end. It’s more convenient, it’s more fully staffed, it’s more comfortable, it’s more interactive,” said Bilotta.
