The frustrating time spent untangling headphones that seem to come to life as soon as they reach a pocket or bag may be gone for good.

Vanessa Chan, the founder of loopit the company that produces fashionable, yet tangle-free headphones, has made it one step closer to selling her invention on QVC by making it to the final round of the “Next Big Thing” competition, writes Dan Norton for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The Philadelphia entrepreneur managed to get enough votes in the “gadgets for mom’s purse” category in the preliminary round of the competition to beat out two other entrepreneurs and qualify for the finale.

The final pitch round on Friday will see two more entrepreneurs go up against Chan to fight for the chance to sell their product on QVC. While the preliminary rounds were decided by audience votes, the final round will be presented to a panel of judges comprised of Doug Howe, the Executive Vice President of merchandizing at QVC, Jill Martin, Creative Director of QVC’s G.I.L.I. collection, and Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie.

If she comes out victorious on Friday, Chan will be able to start selling her product on QVC at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Chan’s product already ran a successful Kickstarter campaign which drew over $15,000 from interested backers as the innovative earbuds can also be worn as a necklace, clasped together by two strategically placed magnets. Chan has also made sure not to sacrifice sound, as the shape of the earbuds helps to block out background noise.

Prior to the competition, the “mompreneur” had planned to hit the market with this product sometime next month at a price of $50 per set.
