Program Recruiter

The position will identify possible sources of recruitment and develop recruitment strategies for programs. He/she will plan and participate in admissions events for prospective students in order to raise the university’s visibility in the community. The person will also identify and participate in outreach to community colleges and undergraduate programs, college/university graduate fairs, local social service office agencies, and local and state conferences.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree, and be a self-starter who is personable, flexible, and has excellent communication and organization skills. He/she must be available for evening and weekend events. Experience with web-based technology, and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products is necessary.

Online Support Specialist

The position will provide comprehensive support and services for online students and faculty. He/she will provide support to faculty in the development of online course content using LMS as well as Web 2.0 tools and mobile apps. The person will also assist instructional designers in developing, documenting, and testing online courses.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (instructional design, learning technologies, computer science, etc.), and have knowledge of current and emerging e-learning technologies. He/she must have knowledge of video conferencing tools, and be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. The ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, and colleagues is a must.

Purchasing Agent

This position is responsible for the procurement of goods including supplies, materials, equipment, and services in support of all University departments in the most efficient and cost effective manner. Duties include managing formal and informal bidding, creation and administration of contracts, daily input and updating to the Financial System by creating encumbrances and generating purchase orders. He/she will also update and maintain WCU vendor database and attend vendor shows, exhibits, and the PASSHE Purchasing Conference in the Spring and Fall.

The ideal candidate will have three years of purchasing work involving contact with vendors in the procurement of a variety of supplies OR four years of stores or warehouse experience that included responsibility for maintaining inventory control or requisitioning or ordering supplies. He/she must have knowledge of office practices, and elementary bookkeeping, and accurate and systematic supply, procurement, and inventory methods.
