With Chester County constantly rated as one of the best counties in the nation, it is no wonder that local real estate is always a hot commodity.  

This is something that Daniel and Joseph Robins are taking full advantage of, as after working for Re/Max Professional Realty in Exton, the Robins brothers have now opened their new Re/Max DIRECT residential and commercial real estate office in the 100 block of South High Street, writes Sarah E. Moran for Daily Local News.

“Even in what is typically a slow winter season, the housing market has been hot here in Chester County because of low inventory and high demand,” said Dan Robins to Daily Local News.

One thing that jumps out immediately at their new office, located on the northwest corner of South High and West Barnard streets, is the almost complete absence of paper. This reflects the fact that the majority of real estate marketing is now done online, as the internet is usually the first stop for many potential buyers.

“We’re trying to keep paper out of the system,” said Dan. “We take professional photos of our listings, create web sites for each property and market them through search-engines. Buyers and sellers can easily sign documents today on their mobile phones.”

This is a far cry from earlier years when instead of just sending documents and information online, realtors had to make appointments and visit potential buyers.

Dan’s younger brother Joe used to work in the IT sector before he lost his job during the recession eight years ago. At the encouragement of his brother, he got his real estate license and joined his brother bringing his technological expertise with him. The family feel of the new office is rounded by Robins’ sister Caitlin Cliggett who has joined her brothers as a Realtor.
