Contrasting symptoms of economic health — or illness — are popping up across the nation, and it’s time for Chester County businesses to get a proactive checkup.

Unveiled today by the Chester County Board of Commissioners, Chester County Economic Development Council and 10 local chambers of commerce, the “Take the Pulse” business survey aims to not only keep one of the nation’s top economies hitting on all cylinders but also identify and pave the way for another 10 years of vibrant health.

“Take the Pulse” is an online assessment of business climate that provides critical feedback for Chester County’s pioneering 10-year VISTA 2025 economic development strategy, which balances progress and preservation. From it will come a sort of physical report of priorities to maintain the county’s wellbeing.

“Through the partnership of the Chester County Planning Commission, the CCEDC, and the 10 Chester County Chambers of Commerce we are undertaking this important business survey…to assess the business climate in Chester County, and provide valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities facing the business community in our region,” said MaryFrances McGarrity, director of Business Development at the CCEDC.

The survey is available online now.

“We are excited to work with the County and the CCEDC to gather information from our members on what is important to them as they conduct business in and around Chester County,” said Mark Yoder, President of the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce.
