Chester County Briefs: concise reports on what’s happening around Chester County. This Morning:

Momentum Dynamics Group Raises $3.5 Million

Malvern based Momentum Dynamics Group has managed to raise $3.5 million from CEDI Capital Markets in part, to employ 12 more people over the next six months to handle its increasing business.

Momentum, which builds wireless chargers for the automotive industry that cost between $8,000 and $10,000, currently focuses on installing chargers for electrically-powered buses along their routes to ease the charging process.

The company, which is in preliminary talks with SEPTA, will have one of its devices installed along one of the five Navy Yard shuttle routes by next summer. Momentum’s revenue also comes from defense contracts, as the company has been contracted to develop underwater charging solutions for small subs, with partnerships in Silicon Valley also being considered.

“We always knew the automotive industry would be the slowest to adopt because it’s such a big industry and dominated by such big corporations,” said CEO Andy Daga.

Terressentia Corporation Joins Deacom’s Software Community

Deacom, the Wayne based developer of a single-system Enterprise Resource Planning Solution, has announced that Terressentia Corporation is joining their community of ERP users.

Terressentia, with its patented TerrePURE technology that produces award-winning spirits, has introduced an “ultrasonic energy-driven oxidation” process to remove impurities from spirits in a fraction of the time it takes through traditional methods.

After recently purchasing a new distillery to keep up with the increasing demand for its services, the company enlisted DEACOM ERP to help manage and simplify its processes so it could kickoff operations at more than one facility.

“Deacom’s unique ERP strategy delivers a flexible solution that enables our business to scale quality production of our innovative products,” commented Earl Hewlette, CEO of Terressentia. “As we continue to exceed growth expectations and open more locations, we are confident that DEACOM ERP is the right solution to support us in many years to come.”

BIGshot-Extreme-500First 500 FPS Crossbow Target Introduced by BIGshot Archery

The Downingtown based creator of the most innovative archery targets in the industry, BIGshot Archery, has taken target performance and shooter confidence to a new level with its new target designed to stop arrows travelling at 500 feet per second.

The new target, named the BIGshot Extreme 500, has the highest-speed rating of any archery target in history. While created specifically to handle the fastest and most lethal crossbows, it is also compatible with compound and traditional archery equipment.

“It’s a milestone for crossbows and archery in general,” enthused BIGshot Archery President, Al Perelli. “As crossbows are getting faster and faster, it’s more important than ever to deliver stopping power people can trust – and we hit 500 fps first while maintaining our signature easy pull. I couldn’t be happier or more proud of our team.”
