In light of a state budget impasse that hasn’t let any turkeys out of their pens for local nonprofit organizations, Victory Brewing Co., Sysco and Kimberton Whole Foods are pouring on the generosity this Thanksgiving.

The trio came together to supply $5,775, 350 turkeys and enough gravy and stuffing for 3,000 meals to the Chester County Food Bank and Octorara Area Food Cupboard for distribution throughout Parkesburg, where Victory just opened its latest brewpub.

“Having corporate community partners like Victory and Sysco helping to feed the hungry in our county is critical to our role as a food bank,” Chester County Food Bank Agency & Community Partnership Manager the Rev. Phoebe Kitson-Davis said in a Daily Local News report.

“We support over 120 agencies throughout Chester County and are grateful to Victory and Sysco for supporting the neighbors in their community.”

The food bank has fielded requests for more than 2,000 turkeys for local families, with additional needs looming for the winter ahead.
