Benchmark Federal Credit Union heralded a new milestone in serving Chester County community members by rolling out a new rewards checking offer and giving away prize coupons.

The credit union open to “anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Chester County” with branches in West Chester, Malvern and Collegeville turned 75 this year.

“We pride ourselves for being around for 75 years and in a strong financial standing,” Marketing Director Rebecca Worthington said in a Daily Local News report. “One of the nice things is we actually do offer financial solutions for all benchmarks — from birth to retirement.”

Membership involves merely $5 for a new savings account and provides a say in how things are run at the credit union.

“You’re not just a member of the credit union, you’re an owner because we don’t have stockholders,” Worthington said. “Membership with a credit union means once you’re a member, you’re always a member.”
