Assisstant Director/Director of Human Resources

The CCIU has an opening for an Assistant Director/Director of Human Resources exists with the Chester County Intermediate Unit to provide leadership and support in all human resources related functions within the Coatesville Area School District.  Once hired the HR Director will oversee and manage the district’s compensation, payroll and benefits in accordance with the collective bargaining agreements and the Affordable Care Act.

The ideal candidate for the Human Resources leadership position will have a Bachelors or Masters degree and a minimum of five years progressive HR experience. HR experience in a school/educational setting preferred. Experience with multi-tasking, consensus decision-making, data collection, program development, and office technology is a plus.

District Technology Support Specialist

The CCIU is looking for Technology Support Specialist for the Innovative Educational Services (IES) department at the Chester County Intermediate Unit. This position is responsible for working with district technology leaders & staff to identify opportunities & strategies for meeting district needs. This position will provide support and assistance for district technology leaders & staff in the design and implementation of new technology resources and also in identifying cost saving solutions. The successful candidate will serve as a key communicator between IES and district technology staff and will remain current with new technologies and their application.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree and five years experience supporting technology in an educational setting. A working knowledge of Microsoft Enterprise Solutions such as Exchange Server and understanding of network protocols and infrastructure as well as an ability to support Apple and other operating systems. Candidates should have strong problem solving and diagnostic skills, be a self-starter, be highly motivated and need little direction. Current child abuse, criminal history and FBI fingerprinting clearances are required.

Communications Intern

The CCIU Division of Communications seeks an Intern for the Fall of 2015 and/or Spring of 2016 to provide support to the communications manager with desktop publishing and web maintenance services for internal and external clients of the CCIU. Among other duties, the Intern will assist in preparing brochures, directories and flyers and assist the communications specialists and special events coordinator as needed.

Candidate must be currently enrolled as a college student majoring in graphic design and should have a broad-based knowledge and technical proficiency in desktop publishing (Indesign, Illustrator, Freehand, Photoshop).  Strong graphic design skills, digital photography and excellent writing skills are required.
