Chester County Datebook – September 11th

September 11th is the 254th day of the year leaving 111 days remaining until the end of 2015.  Today is the 14th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington DC. On this date in 1777, The British defeated the Americans in the Battle of Brandywine in Chadds Ford.

Chester County’s business calendar calms down a bit today with just three primary events:

The Southern Chester County Chamber of Commerce hosts a professional development seminar titled “Cash Flow . . . Managing Your Money.”  The two hour seminar featuring Steven Butler of Butler Banking Consulting takes place at the Kennett Square Golf and Country Club begins beginning at 8:00 AM.

Pennsylvania BIO hosts a CEO Roundtable of three the life sciences industry CEOs including Robert Radie, President & CEO of Egalet, the Chester County-based specialty pharmaceutical company focused on developing effective medicines for patients with acute and chronic pain. The event happens at the Crowne Plaza Valley Forge at 7:15 AM Friday morning.

The Coatesville VA Medical Center hosts a job fair and employment workshop for area veterans on their campus in Coatesville.
