Four community leaders have offered their healing touch to the transformational work of the Brandywine Health Foundation. A doctor, judge and chief financial officer recently joined the foundation’s governing board as new directors, and a local bank president provided key support for Brandywine’s new Coatesville Youth Initiative.

United Health Care Medical Director Lisa Croft brings care and management experience to the board; Magisterial District Judge Gregory Hines offers legal, service club, community dental and borough council expertise; and former John Templeton Foundation CFO Valerie Martin provides a track record of bolstering asset growth tenfold.

Meanwhile, Citadel Federal Credit Union President and CEO Jeff March helped infuse $100,000 into a new foundation effort to teach, mentor and guide a dozen Coatesville teens in becoming philanthropists — and awarding real grants to local nonprofit organizations.

In a recent foundation update, March said he “is committed to helping youth expand beyond just their high school experiences so that they can have the opportunity to excel in their chosen fields, to come back to the area to share their wealth of knowledge and experiences with others, and give back to the community as he has been able to.”

Hines and March are both current Coatesville residents.
