Community Outreach Director

YMCA, in Kennett Square, is seeking a Community Outreach Director who will be responsible for handling member financial information with discretion and confidentiality, Represent the Kennett Area YMCA in the surrounding community and acting on branch’s behalf to identify partnerships and collaborations with community leaders, and overseeing part-time staff and coaching front-desk staff in handling Income-Based Membership procedures.

The qualified applicant will have a Bachelor degree, be Bilingual in English and Spanish and be able to communicate effectively in both languages, verbally and in writing required. Two years of YMCA experience preferred.

School Age Child Care-Site Director

The Kennett Area YMCA is looking for experienced Child Care candidates to work in the Y’s School Age Child Care department. The Site Director is responsible for running the before and after care program at the Greenwood Elementary School in Kennett Square. Once hired, the Director will plan and implement an educational program that meets the emotional, physical, intellectual, and social needs of both the individual and the group and establish/maintain positive communications with parents and school staff.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Ed, Elem Ed or Human Services field is required. The qualified applicant must have an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 2 years experience.

Assistant Swim Coach

YMCA, in Kennett Square is looking for an individual to join the outstanding KAY Seadragons Coaching Team. The Assistant Swim Coach must have proven experience working with children and a proven track record delivering a high quality, safe, competitive swim programs.

The qualified applicant must have experience coaching swimmers of all ages, have current CPR certifications, and has the ability to relate to children, parents, off site personnel and fellow staff in a mature and sensitive way, consistent with the YMCA philosophy.
