Highway Design Specialist

TPD, in West Chester, is seeking a full-time Highway Design Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in outside contact and communication pertaining to specific projects, preparation of design computations, quantity estimates, and construction cost estimates for his/her projects within the team, and assisting in the analysis of field data, reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs to plan and design projects.

The qualified applicant must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, an Engineer Training Certification, and have experience using CADD Software (Microstation or AutoCAD). Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

Construction Inspectors/Managers

TPD, in Pottstown, is looking for an experienced transportation construction inspector for projects in various PennDOT districts within the Commonwealth. The Construction Manager will be responsible for the inspection of roadway and bridge projects, testing of soils, concrete, and bituminous paving, calculation of quantities for estimate payments, and will oversee, inspect, and monitor contractual field work.

The qualified applicant must have at least 2 years of PennDOT transportation construction inspection experience and have a certification in at least one of the following: NICET, NECEPT Bituminous, ACI/PennDOT Concrete Technician, and/or CDS/NextGen.

Highway Design Project Manager

TPD, in Pottstown, is seeking an experienced Highway Design Project Manager who will be primarily responsible for managing and developing roadway oriented projects for PennDOT and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. Once hired, the Project Manager will assist with the preparation of proposals, represent TPD at meetings with clients, stakeholders/the public, communicate effectively, manage others, develop, maintain, and monitor design schedules and budgets.

The qualified candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, at least 10 years of applicable Highway Design experience, have excellent written/verbal communication skills, and be self-motivated to get the job done.
