Project Manager

The primary responsibility of the Project Manager is to plan, direct and complete projects within Nave Newell’s civil engineering department as well as coordinate work requests with the department manager and other service departments.

Once hired, the project manager will direct company staff including project engineers, staff engineers and CAD technicians as well as other service staff having direct project involvement. The manager will act as primary client liaison and be responsible for facilitating work with other project team members/consultants for all assigned projects, as well as initiating and maintaining communication with clients and other project team consultants to facilitate project activities.

The qualified applicant must have a minimum of five years relevant experience that includes project management or project task assignments. Knowledge of Hydroflow, PondPack, StormCAD, and other storm/hydraulic software is a must for this position. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering or related field is required.

Accounting Clerk

The primary responsibility of the Accounting Clerk is to perform the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger entries along with other day-to-day accounting functions of the firm.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk includes reviewing/verifying invoices, checking requests and setting up invoices for payment. The optimal candidate will also reconcile accounts payable transactions and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience required. The ideal candidate must have excellent computer skills including experience working with Excel, Word, Power Point, and Deltek Vision. The person applying for this position must have the ability to coordinate their actions and time and be able to meet critical deadlines. Effective presentation and communication skills are a definite plus.

Project Engineer

The primary responsibility of the Project Engineer is to assist the project management team and provide engineering support for all assigned projects. The Project Engineer will perform both technical engineering work such as site grading, stormwater management and value engineering.

Once hired, the project engineer will prepare plans and project specification as well as serves as the liaison between the project manager and the technical staff involved in a project. The Project Engineer will be responsible for preparing permit applications and supporting documentation for various local, state and federal agencies.

The optimal candidate must have a commanding knowledge of land development approval process, including grading, E&S and stormwater management. The Engineer must be familiar with the requirements of federal, state and county agencies that have jurisdiction over land development entitlements. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering is required for this position.
