Board of Directors Removes Interim Tag

Alisa M. Jones has been appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of La Comunidad Hispana by the Board of Directors. Jones had been serving in the role in an interim capacity since January. Prior to that, she had been Chief Operating Officer of the organization since 2013.

“We are so excited to have Alisa as our President and CEO. We value her energy and passion for our mission and our community. Our entire board enthusiastically supports Alisa and together we are going to accomplish wonderful things for southern Chester County,” shared Chairman of the Board Paul F. Huberty

Jones brings her extensive background and experience in health services administration to her role, with a strong focus on public health and community health centers. She was the Director of Maternal and Child Health at the Delaware Health Department prior to joining LCH.

A search committee conducted a nationwide search to fill the role. After interviewing several highly qualified candidates, Jones was chosen. “Alisa was our number one choice to lead LCH. I am looking forward to working with Alisa and the LCH staff,” added Board Member Doug Nakashima.

LCH’s mission is to help low-income residents of Southern Chester County receive the highest quality of healthcare and social services. Proudly serving the area for more than 40 years, LCH is a Federally Qualified Health Centers, one of two in the county. They are currently conducting a fundraising campaign to expand services in the community.

Jones commented, “I believe deeply in our mission and know that the people who bring the mission to life every day are the amazing LCH team. I feel humbled by the board’s trust in me and honored to have the full support of the LCH team as I take on this new challenge.”
