Our veterans did so much for us and we’d like to do something for one of them.

Being a military man myself and just recently having my youngest son begin his own military career, it is an honor to help whenever I am able to do so.

My company, Rosati Italian Ice has teamed up with Gary DiVincenzo of West-Chester based Hybrid-Cycles to give a deserving veteran an electric eBike cycle.

The cycle offers the veteran mobility to explore trails, provides benefit from exercise, and the chance to get around locally. E-bikes offer the choice of regular bicycle riding or (for those really steep hills), a motor you can switch on or off at will to give you an extra push when you need it.

We are looking for veterans who have served in a time of conflict. Deadline for submission of deserving Veteran names is May 10th, 2015. Time is running out. Email address for submissions and other details are on our company’s Facebook page here.

Just before Memorial Day, the day when we remember those who have given their time and sometimes their lives, Gary and I will announce the recipient of the electric (E-bike) cycle.

My company is also partnering with Soldier Socks. The Soldier Socks organization remains committed to its founding principles: providing our patriots with the resources and support they need to overcome obstacles new and old. The goods that they now provide include state-of-the-art medical devices and educational opportunities at some of our nation’s most prestigious institutions.

I am proud that there are businesses, entrepreneurs and corporations recognizing the sacrifices and contributions our military personnel have made for all of us here at home.

Let’s continue to do what we can do here at home while always remembering what our soldiers, both men and women, are doing around the world for us.
