Exton Firm 4ONE Gives Supplier Seat At The Table For NYC Bus Order
Vehicle seat designer and manufacturer 4ONE of Exton helped get the wheels turning on the production of thousands of bus seats for its recent New York City Transportation Authority deal.
As many as 2,000 seats will be supplied by Engineered Composites in Buffalo to outfit a third of the 120 heavy-duty NYC buses that 4ONE needs. The local firm designed the Angel brand fiberglass passenger seats to be fire-resistant, durable and lightweight.
“Investments in transportation equal jobs in the private sector, and in this case we have a very direct link to the purchase of equipment in New York and job creation in Buffalo,” Managing Director Ray Melleady said in a Buffalo Business First report.
