By

Big changes are taking place at DNB First in Downingtown, PA, as one the first nationally chartered banks looks to ramp up its lending services to greater serve its business clients.

The first step in this process is the creation of the Business Banking Service (BBS) Division, which is going to be focused on serving the credit needs of local and regional businesses of all sizes. The new division will mainly focus on, but not be limited to, the five county regions of Chester, Delaware, Philadelphia, Bucks and Montgomery.

In order to give BBS division the punch and authority that it needs to be successful, DNB reached out to find an experienced Senior Vice President to lead the charge. That person is new arrival Nabila Sajid, a veteran of commercial lending, with over two decades of experience helping businesses with Wells Fargo.  She will head up the new division as the Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending.

“We are delighted to have Nabila heading up a team of commercials lenders,” said Al Melfi, Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer at DNB First, “Her extensive experience in C&I lending will be pivotal in helping DNB First serve an increasing number of businesses.”

The BBS division is also going to be given two new tools to help in its quest to find the right lending solutions for different types of businesses. These tools are the Small Business Line of Credit and the Equipment Loan.

DNB First’s Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer Vince Liuzzi described how key the new developments are by saying “DNB First understands how important small businesses are in boosting local economies. We are committed to providing the expertise and credit business owners need to grow and manage their businesses.”
