Local Filmmaker Chris Cotter Documents The Eritrean Exodus

By

Chris Cotter, a 37-year-old West Chester musician, is finishing a documentary film – Refugee: The Eritrean Exodus – to raise awareness about human rights abuses in Eritrea, Philly.com reports.

This is the first full-length film for Cotter’s production company, Tailor Made Media, which operates at Taylor’s Music Store & Studios in West Chester. Cotter also teaches drums and records there with the experimental rock band WaveRadio.

The film draws attention to human rights abuses in the country on the Horn of Africa. A U.N. commission is investigating human rights abuses in Eritrea, and Cotter and his company hope the film will encourage more international aid for the people there.  Read the full story here.
