Covered Bridge: James Beard Finalists, Ghosts on Twitter and a ‘One Book’ Club

The finalists for the James Beard Foundation awards, often referred to as the Oscars of the fine dining world, have been announced. The awards honor the best of the restaurant industry as well as its most astute restaurant reviewers. Check out a list of Philadelphia area restaurants that made the cut here.

Last weekend, thousands took to twitter to tweet reverant rememberances and RIPs for Nigerian Author Chinua Achebe–including National Security-advisor Susan Rice. A typical day on social media, except for that the “Things Fall Apart” author died in 2013. So why the delayed reaction? The Atlantic has the story here.
