Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve in New Hope has given a 2015 Land Ethics Award to Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square in recognition of its 86-acre meadow garden expansion.

The award honors organizations that have made significant contributions in  promoting native plants and shown a strong land ethic while promoting sustainable designs protecting the environment.

Longwood Gardens won in the public space category. Bowman’s Hill recognized Longwood for the meadow garden’s visually artistic colorful plantings and grand vistas, along with best practices in land stewardship.

Tickets are now on sale for Longwood’s next exhibit with the Klip Collective of Philadelphia: Nightscape: A Light and Sound Experience. Read more about the planned choreographed evening experience at Longwood here.
