Wiggins Shredding recently purchased a 19,750 square-foot facility at 908 Old Fern Hill Rd., giving the community the convenience of a drop-off facility in West Goshen Township.

The firm, which has experienced significant growth in the past 7 years, needed a larger, more flexible facility.  Previously Wiggins had to transport shredded material to a separate baling location before delivering it to a recycling center.  The company said since the new facility accommodates on-site baling, the move will save costs and decrease the company’s carbon footprint.

Wiggins plans to use 2,000 square feet of the property for office and administrative space with the remaining 17,000 square feet to be dedicated to transport, warehousing, baling and other operations. Wiggins also plans modest improvement to the property, mostly in the form of site work.

Jim Lees, president of Swope Lees, represented Wiggins Shredding as buyer’s agent in the transaction, the second commercial transaction brokered by Swope Lees on behalf of the Wiggins organization.
